Matt, Carson and I surprised Christopher last week with a new addition to our family. Christopher LOVES playing with Lily, but Lily isn't his biggest fan...Christopher is generally too rough, so we thought that he should have a playmate that could tolerate a little bit more rough-housing and running around. We adopted a 1 year old labradoodle from a sweet family who realized that this doggie needed more room to run and more attention than they could give her right now. We are so grateful that they had already begun training and teaching this sweet puppy how to sit, shake hands, and fetch. We let Christopher rename her and he decided that her new name would be "Katy" and because my kids think that all dogs have middle names, he picked "Rose" as her middle name. :)
Katy is super smart and sweet. She is a rock star with the kids...she tolerates anything that Christopher conjures up in his head to do with her. (even though I will not let him make a saddle to put on her when he pretends to ride her around the living room!!)

She is still working on returning the ball after she fetches it. She really likes tennis balls, so she isn't always willing to give it up!

Carson and Christopher like playing "Monkey in the Middle" with Katy. They like to watch her run back and forth while they throw (or hit) a ball back and forth to one another.
