The Testing Continues...

Carson has been having "tummy problems" for about a year now. Initially I assumed (mistakenly) that she was allergic to milk (because Christopher is), so we took all milk products out of her diet. This seemed to help for about 6 months. When her symptoms returned we decided that she too needed to see a GI doc to figure out what was going on. Testing in November determined that Carson is allergic to wheat. (The milk allergy test couldn't be conducted properly because she hadn't had milk in her diet for so long.) The extensive blood work in November ruled out a lot of things, so we then took wheat out of Carson's diet. Well, even with milk and wheat no where in Carson's system she has continued to have "tummy problems." That brings us to today...
Carson at Texas Children's getting ready for a day of investigation. :)
It's early in the morning and Carson is resting in the waiting room.
Ultrasound time...
More waiting...Carson filled her time playing games on my phone.
Carson was a ROCK STAR!!! She did AWESOME drinking this DISGUSTING barium "drink." She drank most of it lying down through a straw while an X-Ray-like machine took pictures of her digestion process. Once the barium reached her stomach she had to sit up to drink the rest.

She was in good spirits!

But, she finally reached her limit...
After drinking the entire cup of barium Carson had to walk around for 30 minute increments and return to the X-Ray machine for pictures during her walking breaks. This process lasted several hours and then we were finally able to go home!
