We spent a couple of days at the beach and the kids LOVED it! They loved jumping in the waves, playing in the sand, finding shells, and "surfing" ALL DAY LONG! :) They watched the movie "Soul Surfer" several times before we left for the beach, so they were definitely inspired to surf the "waves" of Galveston. We seemed to have had impeccable timing because Discovery Channel's "Shark Week" was the week before our trip, so we were constantly answering questions about sharks, although it didn't seem to deter either one of them from bouncing around in the waves!
