Carson's class (along with the rest of 4th grade) were assigned figures in Texas history to research and then "become" the person. Carson's class drew names from a hat. If they drew a person of the opposite sex they could draw again. Guess who Carson drew? She decided that she would keep her choice and researched George W. Bush and memorized facts about him. The kids had a version of a wax museum where all of the 4th grade students stood dressed in the cafeteria and the parents and teachers walked around while the students recited the information about "themselves."
